The ETA fresh water module does not need much space and can either be directly mounted on the buffer or on the wall. The installation effort is minimal as all components are already assembled and pre-wired.

Economical operation – the high-efficiency pump only runs when needed, protecting the heat exchanger.
Economical operation

The high-efficiency pump is only activated when need and adjusts its speed according to the temperature required. A specially developed return flow mixing system protects the heat exchanger from limescale at buffer temperatures above 60° C.

Say goodbye to limescale

If water is heated above 60° C, limescale formation increases dramatically. Especially for standing water in hot water tanks, the accumulated lime can lead to inconvenient damage. That doesn't happen with an ETA fresh water module!

The system that thinks for itself:
ETA circulation set

The further the water tapping points are from the hot water producer, the more important it is to have a good circulation set. While conventional systems send some hot water through the pipes from time to time, the ETA circulation set is only active when there's a demand. That saves energy.
This is how the circulation is activated:

  • Thanks to the innovative autoloop system – see graphic
  • By briefly turning on the hot water tap, the circulation pump starts immediately and the pipe gets flushed. Hot water flows out of the tap after just a short time, even with longer pipes (only possible with touchscreen).
  • Manual time entry: people who shower at the same time every day, for example, can program a fixed circulation for a few minutes earlier (only possible with touchscreen).

The fresh water module even deals effectively with hard water, thanks to the stainless steel design!

Even with high lime content, the fresh water module can be used – this is made possible by the special INOX stainless steel heat exchanger, which can also be retrofitted.
The so-called conductivity value indicates how conductive the water is. This is important because a value that is too high can damage conventional heat exchangers. It becomes critical at around 500 μS (microsiemens).
A simple rule of thumb helps with the assessment:Water hardness in ° dH x 35 ≈ conductivity in μS

  • Up to 15 ° dH: standard heat exchangers are sufficient
  • 15–20 ° dH: Corrosion can occur
  • Above 20 ° dH: INOX heat exchanger is recommended

Important:Water softeners reduce limescale, but do not change the conductivity. Therefore, consult your local heating engineer – he knows the water quality in your region best!
