Why does dust keep building up on the computer screen? It is because the dust particles are electrostatically charged and are attracted by the screen. ETA's precipitator takes advantage of this effect. With the aid of an electrode in the flue gas duct, the particles which are swirling in the flue gas are energised and ionised. They are deposited on the internal wall of the separator and can no longer escape from the chimney with the flue gases.
The precipitator is cleaned completely automatically during de-ashing. The dust then lands in the ash box along with the remaining ash from the boiler.
Do you want to retrofit your boiler? No problem - the precipitator can be easily retrofitted without having to plan additional space in the boiler room (exception: HACK VR).
The optional precipitator makes heating with wood even cleaner and more environmentally friendly. It uses electrical voltage to extract dust from the exhaust gases, thus improving emissions levels. With a separating ratio of 80-85%, the precipitator ensures low dust emission at minimum power consumption even with poorer quality fuels.
